  • Dressage

    Walk: round left and right. Trot: round left and right. Gallop: round left and right.

  • Showjumping

    Showjumping course & cross country gallop: immediately after the last jump you accelerate and ride a round of gallop at cross country pace.

  • Terrain ride

    Immediately after jumping, ride a round on the eventing grounds of Maarsbergen Horse Trials.

The competition

Eduction is in our DNA and from the beginning, the mission to encourage the growth of participating combinations has been central in our mindset. Building educational courses enhances the rider's riding skills and strengthens the bond of trust between rider and horse. The ambience of a top international sporting event enriches the experience of the rider and his team. That is why we organise the Maarsbergen Young Horse Trials. This day is especially for 4- and 5-year-old eventing horses who can ride an experience round on the Maarsbergen Horse Trials grounds. 

Maarsbergen Young Horse Trials:  

  • A showjumping course and a terrain ride: 4-year-olds 70 cm and 5-year-olds 90 cm (no dressage).
  • An assessment by international judges
  • We are not making rankings, training and gaining experience are key.
  • Entry fee: €35.00.
  • We have a minimum of 25 and a maximum of 50 starts available.

Entrance directly on the N226 at hectometer pole 60.3. Note: not the regular entrance to Maarsbergen Horse Trials!
