Our history<\/h3>\r\n

\r\n Some 20 years ago, the Van der Goes-Petter family started organising compound equestrian competitions on the Maarsbergen Estate. It started in 2002 with the Challenge Saumur, which grew into national competitions. In 2012, we organised our first international competition. Step by step, we have developed both athletically and professionally and have grown into Maarsbergen Horse Trials. We have since been able to add the NK and EC Young Riders and Juniors to our CV. <\/p>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n\r\n \t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Key figures<\/h3>\r\n

\r\n Maarsbergen Horse Trials has grown into a top professional sports event organised by 200 volunteers and welcoming around 300 participants and 3,000 visitors every year. \r\n Maarsbergen Horse Trials promotes the development of the sport of eventing in the Netherlands and Europe. Maarsbergen Horse Trials encourages the growth of participating combinations and is committed to the welfare of the horse. The construction of educational courses enhances the rider's riding skills and strengthens the bond of trust between rider and horse. The ambience of a top international sporting event enriches the experience of the rider and his accompanying team. Maarsbergen Estate is located at the foot of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug, on the edge of Gelderse Valley. Maarsbergen Estate is a private estate that inspires through contemporary management and careful preservation of cultural heritage, forest, nature and landscape. Private ownership is characterised by individuality and continuity. Each private owner does what suits him or her and aims to pass on the property to future generations.<\/p>
